One of the best books I have ever read

It's all about a girl who lost her Dad in a jet accident and is desperate to find him.  She and her mechanimal fox Malkin set off on a long journey because Lily is sure that her Dad isn't dead.  Lily makes lots of friends along the way who help her with her mission.  I really recommend this book and think it is one of the best books I have ever read.

Futuristic and historic at the same time

This book tells about London, which is sort of futuristic and historic at the same time.  It has lots of interesting plot twists and rally hooks you from the beginning.  One of my favourite things is that the ending is unexpected but sort of hints about the next book, Moonlocket.

Cogheart is an amazing story of passion, love, friendship and adventure.  It's set in the Victorian era, yet many of the inventions would be futuristic today.  I was gripped by the story from the beginning and was curious to find out what happened to Lily's father and what his secret was.  I also wondered why some of the characters who seemed to be on Lily's side were acting strangely and was inquisitive to discover more about them.  I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone who likes adventure and uncovering mysteries.

Mechanimals

Cogheart has things you may not have heard of like mechanimals, which are mechanical animals which can talk.  I recommend this if you love adventure books and, if you do, you might want to read the sequel, which is called Moonlocket (which I have just finished reading).  This second book connects with the first.  They're great.

One of the best books I have read

My favourite characters are Lily and her mechanical fox, Malkin. I like Lily as she always wants an adventure and she is just like me. I also like her pet mechanical, Malkin, as he is always getting in the way and bothering people. I recommend this book for someone who always loves mysteries and adventures, like me.  I have loved reading the book, Cogheart, and finding out the mysteries of Lily's father.  This is one of the best books I have read in my whole life.

A story about betrayal

This book is about a Dad who vanishes and her daughter is determined to find him with her friends.  They are followed by silver-eyed men and they travel to London.  This is a story about betrayal by one she holds dear and a terrible truth which is discovered.  I would give this book 5 stars!

It’s unputdownable

In this stunning novel brave Lily Hartman’s father is captured. She and her friends Robert and Malkin embark on a terrific quest to find and bring her father back. However, they will meet many challenges and will have to solve difficult dilemmas. Can she find her father and defeat the forces which prevent her from doing this? This masterpiece was immensely entertaining to read-every second was special.

I loved this gripping story. My favourite part was when Professor Silverfish was defeated
and smashed into pieces in Big Ben as justice was finally served. The scariest part was when
Silverfish turned out to be a traitor. I learned that no matter the circumstances you must
always be faithful.

I would recommend this book to any strong reader - it is unputdownable.

A great adventure

Cogheart is a great adventure book about a girl who leaves boarding school in search of her father, who is missing after an accident.  Lily and her friend Robert go on a great adventure to find him and put themselves in danger to do so, as they are being chased by some dangerous men.  It turns out to be a big adventure, with a great twist at the end.  I really enjoyed this book and recommend it for everyone.  I found it quite captivating and I'm sure others will love it too.

Unusual story that kept me gripped

I loved this book because it was different and the unusual story line kept me gripped.  It is set in the Victorian time and has some really interesting characters.  The story line had lots of surprises and I never exactly knew what was going to happen next.  I really liked Lily and thought that she was brave to be her own person.   I recommend it to anyone who likes a mystery and to people who like to try to work out what is going to happen next.  I also thought it was really well written as I really believed that I was there.

I wanted to read on

I knew that I wanted to read on from the moment I read the blurb of Cogheart.  I had heard about it from my friends, but once I saw the book, I knew it was for me.  It is set in 1896 in London and the main character is a girl called Lily.  She is clever and brave, particularly as she finds out her father has been in an accident. She decides she has to find out if her father is alive and she gets help from her friend Robert.

I loved this book because I loved hearing about Lily's world and how humans live with mechanic animals.  It is an emotional book, plus it is an adventure and a mystery.  I would really recommend this book, as I couldn't put it down.

I loved the suspense

Lily isn't the kind of girl that you think she should be, even though she goes to a prestigious school.  She wasn't going to change for anyone.  I liked the adventure in this book and I was often worried about how the story would continue.  I loved the twists in the story.  The story is a good one and one that I will remember for a long time.

I enjoyed the fact that it was set in Victorian England as I like historical fiction books.  I think I would have liked to have lived back then.

Packed with surprises and twists

This story is about a daring journey through a futuristic Victorian world. Lily, Robert and Malkin set off to find Lily’s missing father whilst being chased by two sinister men. They struggle to escape their clutches to find that her only hope may be the everyone to crush her soul. My opinion on this story is that it is a great and thrilling adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed the book as it is packed with surprises and twists. Cogheart is an unputdownable story with such a power and description to turn people to tears. I would certainly recommend this book as it is an emotional and page turning read.
